Some time ago I played the game “The Forest” with Luzi, DeeDee and Rafi – where we crash-landed on a mysterious island and had to survive and uncover a secret. I wasn’t very impressed with the game at the time, to say the least. Could the sequel “Sons of the Forest” excite me this time?

After we played “No Man’s Sky” really intensively this year (and were very disappointed in the end), I didn’t have another space game on my list – until I became aware of “Starfield”. Bethesda is releasing a space adventure game, and God and the world were excited about it; apparently it just passed me by completely. I haven’t played many roguelikes yet, simply because the principle doesn’t really appeal to me. I still gave today’s title “Have a Nice Death” a chance – it seemed like an interesting game full of gallows humor and interesting fights. Since I discontinued pretty early on, the conclusion is probably clear – but I would still like to say a few words about it.

Today’s game was another one of those random discoveries I sometimes make. Advertised on the GamePass homepage, “Weird West” almost seemed like an entertaining indie title that you play through in one, maybe two streams. The ratings were definitely positive, but not outstanding – it seemed worth a try. You can read here how much it was really worth in the end and how weird the whole experience actually was.

It’s hard to pick out games that I enjoy and are well streamable from the mass of games available, so I often rely on recommendations. I get these from you, via short videos on Instagram or TikTok, or sometimes from other streamers. One game that seems to have suddenly experienced a brief hype is “Choo Choo Charles” – a horror game about escaping a monster train.
