High-Quality Zombie Survival

As you may have noticed, I have some problems with zombie games and the associated survival genre. High-profile failures like “The Walking Dead” didn’t give me much courage to look for anything promising in this area. Nevertheless, I was convinced to give “The Last of Us” a chance – you can read here whether it was worth it.

No Man’s Skyrim or: Fallout in Space

After we played “No Man’s Sky” really intensively this year (and were very disappointed in the end), I didn’t have another space game on my list – until I became aware of “Starfield”. Bethesda is releasing a space adventure game, and God and the world were excited about it; apparently it just passed me by completely. Since it was included in GamePass, we played it right when it was released – and I came to a surprising conclusion. This article contains spoilers!

Death burns out

I haven’t played many roguelikes yet, simply because the principle doesn’t really appeal to me. I still gave today’s title “Have a Nice Death” a chance – it seemed like an interesting game full of gallows humor and interesting fights. Since I discontinued pretty early on, the conclusion is probably clear – but I would still like to say a few words about it.

The weird West

Today’s game was another one of those random discoveries I sometimes make. Advertised on the GamePass homepage, “Weird West” almost seemed like an entertaining indie title that you play through in one, maybe two streams. The ratings were definitely positive, but not outstanding – it seemed worth a try. You can read here how much it was really worth in the end and how weird the whole experience actually was.

The worst Lego-Pirate you’ve ever seen

I’ve already mentioned it in the article about “Lego Star Wars“, but I can only repeat it: I just like the older Lego action-adventure games from Traveller’s Tales. Actually, I had already said everything in that article, but when we recently played “Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game”, I noticed a few differences to Star Wars – here you can read what they are and how I liked them.

Like the Simpsons, just better

As most of you probably already know, I’m a huge fan of the tv show “Family Guy”. I don’t know why, but I just love the mixture of very dull and very profound humor – more than the competition from, for example, “The Simpsons”. This article is not supposed to be about the show, but about the video game of the same name – does it get me hooked just like the show?

I like trains

It’s hard to pick out games that I enjoy and are well streamable from the mass of games available, so I often rely on recommendations. I get these from you, via short videos on Instagram or TikTok, or sometimes from other streamers. One game that seems to have suddenly experienced a brief hype is “Choo Choo Charles” – a horror game about escaping a monster train. It looked very interesting, so we played it; you can read here whether or not it was worth it.
